Love this cover. Actually, love all her covers. Between Oprah & the Obama's you probably couldn't ask for a better time to launch a new pet site. This week, we're covering PAWNATION. Here are some quick background notes re: the site:
Money is tight ... so one of the last things cash-strapped consumers want to be faced with is an expensive car repair. And who knows if that estimate to fix your transmission was on the mark or absurdly high? RepairPal.com aims to take the guesswork out of car maintenance ... The site features independent and unbiased repair estimates and user ratings and reviews of local mechanics. And its "My Car" feature helps car owners keep track of routine maintenance, which may help you avoid a big fix in the first place.
There's also a FREE RepairPal app for the iPhone.
As discussing on radio stations nationwide, this little guy may just be onto something & have the perfect marketing window of opportunity -- LENT. Meet the : NO CUSSING CLUB.

It was cute to see Alex on MSNBC interview the site founder, 14 year-old McKay Hutch. Is one of those times wish was there with my kids.

Since you can't watch them all, here's a really neat way to quickly watch the Top 5 Morning Show moments. It's one of my personal favorites, cause it's just so efficient. Everyone I know who discovers this site, loves it. It's particularly popular with radio hosts, who play off of what happens on TV. Morning Rush!
The Hannah, Ike et al storm coverage looks intense ... As people brace for the worst, this Emergency Food Supply from Costco.com caught my eye. God wiling, it'll sit for 20 years. But, in the clutch ... you'll have 275 servings of food. Start stocking up on water to go with it.
Needless to say, mommy has to wake up pretty early for morning TV & Radio, so am always a wreck about alarm clocks. Currently I use the alarm on my iPhone. And, last year we were not tardy to school even once. Not once! Am pretty proud of that. But, should we have trouble keeping our streak going, this back-to-school gadget struck me as clever. Here's the product description: Don't be late for your first class! If you've ever had trouble waking up with a regular alarm clock, it's time to meet Clocky. Clocky is the uniquely designed mobile alarm clock that is guaranteed to get you on your feet. It gives you one chance to get up, but if you snooze, Clocky will jump off of your nightstand and wheel around your room looking for a place to hide. Mischievous and loud, Clocky is both hands-down adorable and surprisingly effective.
Now, this was news to me ... Seems complaining is a universal language. We'll be talking about it with Gordon Deal on WSJ Radio also carried on XM Radio. Seems there's some disgruntled singers in Chicago who think "the city is under surveillance," "people brag about knowing famous people" & apparently, "only tourists like deep dish pizza." I beg to differ on the last one;) Here's how to pull this off in your own area, if you're so inclined.
The Complaints Choir invites people to complain as much as they want and to sing their complaints out loud together with fellow complainers. The first choir was organized in Birmingham followed by the Complaints Choir of Helsinki and Hamburg.

It was a pleasure and privilege to speak with Mario Solis Marich -- if only briefly -- on his popular radio program.
If you're looking to builld, maintain, and cultivate an online reputation or fanbase, playing your online cards right is a "Must Do." Love the fact Mario "gets" & does "it" to say the least! He's a pretty wired guy. See: www.GoToMario.Com . Impressive.

A lot of controversy this year about the accuracy of political polling and how off it's been, look no further than New Hampshire & by the hour, Pennsylvania. Now people are starting to look at Internet polls. It's always interesting to look at online polls like the HUGE number of votes garnered in the daily HOT SEAT poll which you can actually "snag" & post on your site. With hundreds of thousands of votes on any given day, it's fun to see how your own opinion matches up on a percentage base. In total, you've got to think these polls might -- arguably -- be one of the better barometers of public opinion and perhaps a precursor to what will really ends up happening in the general election. The new Hot Seat phenomenon has garnered such attention, even Barack Obama has personally responded to some of the poll results.
