You're at the store, you've got the product in your hand, you're about to walk to the counter to pay & you think, "I wonder if I could do better online?" Now, you don't have to go home & log on to find out. You can do it on the fly. The most intriguing new trend in online shopping is mobile price comparison shopping. You type in the UPC # (the thing above the bars) &/or the item & name and you'll get a list of websites & local retailers offering the specific item & the price they're offering it at. If it's $100 bucks cheaper online, maybe you put the item back. If a local retailer has it in stock, maybe you get in the car & drive across town. Either way, you've got your answer.

If you have a web-enabled phone (odds are you do if you got cell in last few years &/or if your screen is in color, you should be all set), type this address in & see what you think. It doesn't look real fancy on a computer screen, but fancy is not the point. Savvy shopping decisions is the point.
I'ev tested it several times on my iPhone. Works like a charm. Just type in: wap.aol.com & click on the shoppping tab.

Great tip. I had no idea you could use the UPC code that way. I am going to go out and try that.
