Same concept as the "How's My Driving" bumper stickers. Instead of calling in to report someone's driving...you're logging on with an ID number from a license plate displayed on a nanny's stroller to file a report. Parents pay a $50 for a small license plate with a unique identifying number attached to a child's stroller. They recieve an email alerting them to the report, which can be accessed on the website using a password. Good Samaritans can even choose to remain anonymous and the site also enables people to report acts of "praise" rewarding exemplary Nannies. Personally, would hope you've done enough due diligence to not feel compelled to go down this path, but it is an option if you have concerns.

This is a COOL idea too. The PROBLEM IS evil people AREN'T ALWAYS stupid. They're going to TRY to work around this one. First of all, they'll get their friends to post all kinds of GOOD remarks on the site. Then they'll make sure to keep the plate number covered with stuff hanging from the stroller.
My point is PARENTS still have to do the work. This IS NOT a QUICK FIX. GOOD reports DON"T mean anything unless you can VERIFY THEM. No REPORTS means nothing either.
The site needs to allow PARENTS to offer small tokens of thanks to people that provide proof supporting POSITIVE and/or NEGATIVE reports. That way the parents find out WHO made the reports and how VALID they were or are.

I think this is a brilliant idea. it doesn't matter how much "due diligence" you do, as a parent, handing over your precious child to a relative stranger, you will always have a niggling feeling of what if...
