Online Shopping Spree Continues ...

CONFESSION: There is more in my virtual shopping cart. Am thinking your terrific response to shopping-related posts helps rationalize my next spree. Shop, blog ... Shop, blog ... Works for me:) Here's pictures & descriptions of some more favorite things .... While there are a ton of shopping sites out there, there's still nothing like personal word of mouth or word of mouse as the case may be. So, fork it over .... Tell us the best things YOU ever bought online by commenting on this post or let us know if there's something specific you're in the market for & we'll do what we can to help track it down.

Get a ton of compliments on pieces from this collection. Am big fan of costume jewelry, especially reproductions & antique-inspired settings. If you're willing to spend a little extra, Moissanite is really a notch above. Have seen the demo & some of the products through a magnifying glass. Stunning. The New York Post recently reported spending on high-end clothing is down & being replaced by high-end jewelry & handbag purchases. This is why when you walk in a department store these days there are accessories for as far was they eye can see. Works for me.

The ASICS Gel-Kayano is my fave running show. It's little pricey, but featherweight. Am also going through an orange stage, so like the color. Purchased on Zappos.com for $138.95 with free shipping. Plus, if you get a pair & they don't fit, they cover the return shipping on their dime. In search of a better price, we used PriceGrabber.com a shopping comparison tool & found them for nearly $40 less with free shipping on www.onlineshoes.com.

Have tried them all. This from Lancome is my favorite. Make-up artists at the "The View" got me hooked on false eye-lashes. They're hard to keep up. Now, I only wear them for special occasions & when the person am speaking to on-camera is wearing them (evens out the eye make-up playing field;). My kids get a kick out of the lashes. They call them "caterpillars" cause that's what they look like when you peel them off. Is as close as mom gets to a magic trick.

Got this for "special guy." That's not him in the photo (get your emails & know you're curious;). They run small, so buy 2 sizes up. They also tend to be little short & boxy, which is something they seem to have fixed with the new women's stretch pique cut. There are also a ton of "vintage" Izods on eBay. They remind me of my childhood & I get them for my boys. Sometimes they're very worn out, but they still make me smile:) Also got a kick out of blogger Chris Abraham's piece claiming he's addicted to Izod polo shirts. Took his blog writing workshop & can attest, he was -- indeed -- wearing a black Izod.

My sister got me hooked on these Turkish towels from Restoration Hardware. The color-on-color monogramming (same color as towel) looks sophisticated. Interestingly, monogramming tends to be more accurate online cause you see what you're actually going to get. Tend to think all towels should be white, but the SIlver Sage color is so gorgeous am branching out. If you make a purchase, sign up to be notified of sales via email when you check out. There's an upcoming lighting and bed & bath sale. If you can't wait, here's some select clearance items.

Off-season is a great time to buy ski equipment. Picked this ski up this time last year. Most manufacturers don't make a ton of changes on annual basis, so you're pretty much getting the latest & greatest for a fraction of the cost if you buy model from season prior. The trick with limited inventory is finding your size. If you can't find yours online, contact the site through customer service. A lot of times the folks behind these sites are very connected within the industry & will help track down what you need through inside channels.

Shop on .... :)
