Doing first triathlon this w-end. It's a "mini" or "sprint" distance (750m swim, 17 mile bike, 5K run). Sprinting isn't in the cards for me, but am hoping to finish in reasonable amount of time & check this off of my "things want to do in life" list. Triathlons, Duathlons, Marathons and every organized 10K, 5K etc. you can imagine is listed online. It's inspiring to see just how many events there are. Somehow a 1/2 marathon in Hawaii has a nice ring to it;) If you think you might want to take on something like this, here's the first place online you want to run into ....

i was watching you today! you were great. that website is helpful
Know few of you were concerned, cause you called me directly;)The race was neat experience. Spaced on the "race" part. Took my sweet time. The open water swim was favorite part.
Mostly, was really touched so many ski friends turned out to cheer on friends Betty & Carol + me. Plus, my terrific kids were there along with my wonderfully supportive (not to mention handsome) "special friend" & swim coach.
A girl couldn't ask for more.
What a greaqt day! Regina you were awesome!! Even beat your goal time. You didn't just do it you rocked! Claire,Sam and KJ were the best fans there! KJ's hand is probably stilll sore from high-fiving every runner that came by. Come see us in Texas, the door will always be open. (and the margaritas will always be frozen).
